Drop two or more audio files (or videos) to join

Mixed formats and sample rates are fine. You can also drag a file here or paste it.

How to combine audio files

  1. Add the files. Any mix of MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG or video soundtracks works.
  2. Put them in order with the ↑ ↓ buttons.
  3. Choose a crossfade for music (2–4 s is typical) or a gap for speech (0.5–1 s).
  4. Pick the output format and press Join and export.

Format-specific pages: merge MP3 files · merge WAV files (lossless) · merge M4A and iPhone voice memos.

Need to tidy the pieces first? Trim each file, then join. If the files are at different volumes, run the result through the volume booster’s normalise option.

Questions people ask

How do I merge audio files online for free?

Add two or more files above, put them in order with the arrows, choose a crossfade or a gap if you want one, and press Join and export. Everything is combined in your browser; no file is uploaded.

Can I combine MP3 files without re-encoding?

Joining in AudioKit decodes each file, joins the samples and encodes once, so there is a single extra lossy pass. At 192 kbps or higher it is inaudible. Export WAV or FLAC if you want zero additional loss.

Can I join files with different formats or sample rates?

Yes. An M4A voice memo, a WAV and an MP3 can be joined together. Everything is resampled to the highest sample rate among them, and mono files are placed in both channels.

How do I combine audio files on Windows or Mac without software?

Open this page in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox), add the files and join them. Nothing needs installing, and the files are processed on your computer.

What is a crossfade?

The end of one track fades out while the start of the next fades in, overlapping for the time you choose. It’s how DJs and radio blend songs without silence. For speech, use a short gap instead.

How many files can I merge?

As many as your device’s memory allows. Decoded audio takes about 10 MB per stereo minute, so an hour of material needs roughly 600 MB of free memory.
